Chandigarh 17April (Kirpal Singh)
All political parties are silent on the denial of Fundamental Right of quality education in private unaided schools to children belonging to weaker sections and disadvantage group since 1.4.2010 as provided in RTE Act 2009 passed by Indian Parliament which provides at least 25 percent free admissions in private unaided schools. Panjab is only one state of India where no poor child is admitted in private unaided schools since 1.4.2010. More than ten Lakhs poor children have been denied fundamental right of quality education.Panjab is only one state of India where no poor child is admitted in private unaided schools since 1.4.2010 in compliance with the RTE Act 2009which is shameful. CAG of India highlighted this issue in its report as on 31.3.2016 submitted in Panjab Vidhan Sabha in 2017.National commission for Scheduled Caste also advised Panjab government to implement RTE Act and admit poor children in private unaided schools. Lok Sabha elections are fast approaching and all political parties are fielding candidates but Panjab MPs,MLAs Chief Minister, Ministers of Panjab except Sardar Kulwant Singh MLAsMohali have shown stoney silence on this most important issue. As all of us are aware of the fact that quality education is only tool of human resource development but all political parties are silent on this issue. Voters must judge as to whether they are faithful towards this issue if not we must discard such leaders and question them during elections. If they cannot protect the Fundamental right of quality education of poor children passed by Sardar Manmohan Singh congress government in Parliament what can we expect from them. This is for learned and intellectual Voters to decide. The denial of Fundamental Right of quality education amounts to intellectual genocide.Kindly think twice and send to others in the interest of justice and fair play to safeguard democracy.
